Max Kendall, Kendall Construction Company
A long-time development professional and former executive mortgage banker, Max Kendall brings deep successful experience to the WestGate @ Crane Development Co. After graduating from Indiana State University in 1968 with a degree in marketing, Kendall worked at Standard Oil in Chicago before returning to Indianapolis to take up a position with Merchants National Bank, then one of the top three banks in Indiana.
Kendall rose quickly to an executive position at Merchants (now acquired by National City Bank), being named vice president in charge of Merchant's Commercial Lending Division at age 28. In 1979, Kendall co-founded Mortgage Company of Indiana, Inc., a commercial mortgage banking company. Before Kendall and his partners sold the company to Merchants National in 1984, the Mortgage Company of Indiana represented several large insurance companies, including Nationwide, Capital Holding and Union Mutual.
Following the sale, Kendall led numerous multi-state real estate development and construction projects. Kendall Construction Company has since built and completed many commercial and residential projects in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. These include build-to-suites, professional offices, offices/warehouses, warehousing and hotels. Kendall Construction has also developed a number of affordable and luxury and multi-family communities in the three state region.
