A long-time successful architect and developer, Dale Ankrom serves as the managing partner for the WestGate @ Crane Development Co, LLC. Ankrom has served as principal architect for hundreds of noteworthy projects in several states, including major retail and distribution facilities for the national operations of HHGregg. His deep work experience includes designing and serving on the development team for numerous commercial and industrial buildings, including medical and multi-family facilities. He counts the eight-story Holiday Inn Select in the Lafayette (Indiana) downtown City Centre as one of his top accomplishments, which facility has won a number of design and construction awards. As a developer, Ankrom's accomplishments include office and medical buildings, and a residential community In Indianapolis.

A former board member of the Indianapolis chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Ankrom's professional affiliations include the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a licensed real estate broker.

After beginning his architectural career in 1973 with American Consulting Engineers and Architects, Ankrom founded his first architectural design company in 1982. He formed DEA, Inc. in 1991, which provides design services to WCDC and other development companies throughout the United States.

A graduate of Purdue University, Ankrom also studied three years at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Executive Education Program.
