About WestGate

Founded in 2003, the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park today taps the global technology resources at the $2 billion Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in the 100-square-mile NSA facility near Crane, Indiana. Featuring all-new construction of office, industrial and mixed use buildings, the WestGate is home to Indiana operations of commercial defense giants SAIC and EG&G as well as a growing cluster of defense-related companies.

The WestGate holds Certified Technology Park status from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), which makes it eligible for direct state support.

The park, which represents Indiana’s only tri-county Certified Technology Park, is governed by a six member appointed body representing members from Daviess, Greene and Martin counties. Ex-offico (non-voting) members serving on the WestGate @ Crane Authority include an IEDC representative and executive leadership from area economic development organizations.

In 2006 the WestGate Authority named the WestGate @ Crane Development Co., LLC (WCDC) as the lead developer for the facility.
